Year are coming however back to back festival season is over. I hope everyone
has enjoyed to the fullest. It’s already November and climate has started to
change. Days are still hot and the temperature is low during night time. Next
morning you can find dew drops in your garden. This is the time when we
normally suffer from a cough and cold, especially kids. Moreover, during the festival
time we break all the rules of diet chart and eat a lot of unhealthy items
including cold drinks, ice cream, etc. This is another reason we often suffer
from cold and cough during this time.

is an ingredient in many popular preparations of Ayurveda. It is also known as Golden
milk which is due to its glamorous golden colour. It is also called
turmeric latte at certain places. Not only cough and cold turmeric has a lot
of health benefits which includes detoxification of the liver, purifying blood
and promoting the health of the lungs, circulation and nervous system. Powers
of turmeric milk are well known to people who follow an ayurvedic diet.It also helps in digestion. Hence, it is a healthy drink
which you can have every day.

pepper has a beneficial effect as it has the catalytic effect and increases the
bioavailability of curcumin in turmeric
- Pour milk in a saucepan over low/ medium heat.
- Bring it to low boil.
- Now add turmeric powder and stir continuously.
- Next, add black pepper powder and cinnamon
powder. Stir again.
- Now turn off the heat and allow the mixture to
cool till it comes to warm drinkable temperature.
- When the mixture has cooled add sugar or jaggery
to taste and stir again.
- Now serve warm in a glass.
