I know hardly anyone could say no to it! I was searching the recipe of choco mocha cake for last few days, however I was not getting satisfied results. Finally, I got a satisfactory recipe at Priya’s Versatile Recipes. Thank you Priya for sharing this lovely recipe. Then I did modification and here is the my version of Choco Mocha Cake. I have not used icing or frosting as this was my first attempt. Next time I have planned to do frosting with mocha cream or chocolate ganache.
Choco Mocha Cake
Flour – 13/4 cuup
Baking Soda – 3/4 teaspoon
Melted Unsalted Butter – 3/4 cup
Sugar – 3/4 cup
Instant Brewed Coffee – 1 cup
Dark Cooking Chocolate – 60 gms
Eggs – 3
Prepare a pan (7 to 8″ ) greasing with butter and dusted with flour. Also place a butter paper according to the size of the pan. Now take melted butter in a big size bowl and add sugar into it. Allow them to dissolve. On the other hand, mix flour and baking soda well and keep aside. Add the dark chocolate in the hot brewing coffee and allow it to melt completely. Add this to butter-sugar mixture and beat well. Now add eggs, each at a time. Again beat the mixture. Next goes flour into the mixture. Again beat well so that there should not be any lumps. Pour batter in the pan that is already greased. Preheat oven at 180 degree C and put your pan inside it. Set the time 25 to 30 minutes. Insert a toothpick, if it comes out clean, your cake is ready. Otherwise keep it for another 5 minutes in the oven.
After that I have dusted the cake using icing sugar and cocoa powder. You can also use chocolate ganache for icing it.
