Once you become a parent, lot of changes comes in your life . You become more responsible and caring about your little baby. It's not just cuddling and pampering your baby, you also become more protective about your baby. All the time you think about your baby' joy, comfort and wellness. As soon as we entered into the world of parenthood four years back, we had experienced these things.
If this is your first child then as a mother you are just learning things starting from how to hold your baby while breast feeding or how to give bath to your baby or how to make your baby sleep. Along with these basic things, it is also important to know that how can you keep your baby's soft skin safe.  Here are the most important 5 things that can be done to keep a baby's soft skin safe.

Good Massage: A good massage is vital for your baby. Calming touch once in a day can help to convey your love and affection for your baby. This also helps to improve the bonding between you and your baby. Massaging helps to trigger hormones, boosts immunity and thereby gives the power to fight disease. Most importantly everyday massage with oil or cream makes your baby's skin smooth and soft.

Choose the right Diaper: Diaper plays a crucial role in a baby's health and well being and an inevitable part of parenthood.  Diaper rash is a common problem faced by the parents. We were not exceptional and had gone through this phase as well. This happens due to diapered skin is found wet and exposed to lot of friction from rubbing. So it is important to check the diapers frequently and should be changed when wet or soiled. Every time you change the diaper it is important to wipe the area gently with wipes. Then pat dry baby's skin and allow the area to get dry before putting on a fresh diaper. 

Avoid giving bath frequently:  Baby's skin is delicate hence it is crucial to protect your baby's skin. Frequent bathing during the first year of life can remove the natural oil from the skin and makes it dry.  You should not rub your baby's skin while bathing because this can harm your baby's skin.  Instead of frequent tub-bathing, sponge bathing can help to keep the baby's skin clean and safe.

Choose your baby's product and cloths carefully: While choosing skin-care products for your baby, it is important to select fragrance-free products because they might cause irritation in your baby's delicate skin.Use soft fabrics for baby and wash them only with mild detergents separately.

Protect your baby's Skin from Outside Weather: Exposure to sun is very important for the vitamin D production however new born babies cannot tolerate the heat of the sun. So baby's skin should not be exposed in scorching heat of the sun. Uses of hat or umbrellas are beneficial to avoid this kind of situation. While in Winter season baby's skin becomes dry, hence it is important to use moisturizer to keep the skin soft and moist.

Few basic tips of skin care can help to protect your baby's skin and keep safe. As a parent it gives you real satisfaction when you are able to keep your baby safe and happy from all the aspects. This counts as an achievement of parenthood which you have managed successfully!
