Instant Bread Paniyaram

Instant bread paniyaram is another quick recipe of bread which I had tried recently. Since I had prepared instant bread dosa, this recipe was in my mind. No need of fermented batter , if you have some left over breads you can just cook this instant dish. Instant bread paniyaram can be served as breakfast or as snacks with a cup of tea or coffee. I had given it in my preschooler's snack box which she relished. Sometimes I really wonder how many more recipes can we prepare with bread ? I think the answer is endless or numerous :).

Instant Bread Paniyaram
Ingredients

White Sandwich Bread - 6 pieces
Semolina - 1/4 cup
Rice Flour - 1 teaspoon
Curd - 11/2 tablespoon
Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
Green Chilli - 1 teaspoon, finely chopped
Salt to taste
Curry Leaves - 6 to 7, chopped
Ginger - finely chopped, 1 teaspoon
Refined Oil - 2 tablespoon

Procedure

1. Trim the brown colour edges of the bread and sprinkle water on them.

2. Now in a grinder take semolina, curd, rice flour and soaked breads and make a smooth paste. If require add little water.

3. Take the batter in a bowl and add chopped ginger, onion, curry leaves, green chilli and salt to taste. Mix them well and rest the batter for 10 minutes.

4. Heat an appe pan and add few drops of oil in each dent. Add ladle full of batter in each dent, drizzle little oil on them and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Now turn the other side and drizzle little more oil and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes. When both the sides are done (light brown), serve them hot with coconut chutney or Tomato ketchup.
