I was going through yesterday's newspaper where it was mentioned pre-monsoon showers have already started and monsoon is coming on time. We, Bangloreans are experienced rains in the month of May which has started already. But other places of India is still feeling the impact of Summer heat wave. Even few days back Bangalore was too hot and it feels good when your better-half enters the kitchen on weekend and come out with the chilled glass of Mango Milkshake.

I think there are very few people in our country who does not relish mangoes. So our family is not an exception. He bought mangoes in bulk but before the vacation (yes I am on vacation :)) I was loaded with projects and could not find time to use those ripe mangoes. So he announced a day before that he is going to make a delicious mango milkshake next day. He often announces but sometimes he forgets to execute :P...But our daughter did a good follow up job so next day I relished the glassful of mango milkshake. In between I did another job, I told once the shake is ready call me I will pour and garnish them and click pics so that I can post them here as I knew my blog does not have the recipe of mango milkshake. I give the credit of mango milkshake recipe to my dear husband. Thank you Avijit!

Banana Milkshake

Our little daughter is a foodie...She keeps her demand list (read food list) in front of me every alternative day! I like the way she represents it.. It's not like she will directly ask 'I want to eat this' but she will say 'Mumma you haven't prepare that dish for long time, can we have it tonight?' If a little angel tells this can I say no to her?

So one day me and daughter went to buy vegetables as we normally go during our evening walk. Suddenly she said I am craving for a glass full of milkshake ! I was surprised to listen this. Why all of a sudden a 5 year old girl is telling this! Then after sometime I realized there is a juice shop next to the vegetable shop. So that evening she relished a glass full of Banana Milkshake and instructed me to buy some bananas to prepare Banana Milkshake for the next day. So to day I am sharing the recipe of simple banana milkshake. This is a milkshake without ice cream. Learn here how to prepare banana milkshake at home.

Banana Milkshake/Banana Milkshake without Ice cream

Ingredients

Banana (Robust) - 1
Milk - 11/2 cup

Strawberry Milkshake

This season I really enjoyed strawberries. After Strawberry Lassi I am presenting Strawberry Milkshake here. When I am not in mood to make something with strawberries,  I eat them just like that sprinkling some black salt on them. He he...While making strawberry milkshake I was blending them and after the initial blend it turned into dark red bloody colour. Once you start adding the milk, the tone of colour becomes lighter and finally when you add vanilla ice cream, you get the nice pinkish color.

Strawberry Milkshake  is a good welcome drink option for Kid's party especially if it is a girls party. I know how these days little girls run behind pink colours. Initially,I thought it was only my daughter's madness. Later I asked her friends and everyone said pink is their favourite colour. Here is the recipe of strawberry milkshake. If you want to avoid adding ice cream you can replace it with some whipped cream.

Strawberry Milkshake

Ingredients

Strawberries - 10 to 12 nos, remove stalks and chopped
Boiled and Chilled milk - 11/2 cup
Vanilla Ice cream - 2 to 3 scoops
Sugar - 2 to 3 tablespoon

Procedure

1. Take chopped strawberries and sugar in a blender. Make a smooth paste.
2. Now add milk in the blender and blend the mixture.
3. Finally, add ice-cream and blend once again. Take two glasses and pour the shake. Garnish with strawberries.

Our last trip was Waynad almost one and half year back. After that we were very busy in our life and couldn't plan for a trip. Though we went to Shilong in between but the purpose was not trip, so I don't count it as a trip. This year is going to finish and we couldn't plan a single trip. Sometimes I miss the scenic beauty of nature and wanted to enjoy some time in nature's lap. However, this year it is not going to happen as I know there are lot many family occasions are already scheduled for us. Recently, I visited Mumbai at my sis's place and while going by bus I clicked some scenery and sharing them here.

There were some offers going on oreo biscuit so when I picked up 2 packets automatically it became double due to the offer. So I had planned to make Oreo shake. Oreo Milkshake can be prepared with ice cream or without ice cream. However, I would suggest to choose Oreo shake with ice-cream.  This really goes well for a kid's birthday party. Now my question is can't we be the tiny part of this revolution?? Of course yes! Chikoo Milkshake

Coolers are hit during summer days. Already mercury has crossed 35 degree at many places of India. During summer we all would love to have a full glass of cool drink. Nowadays, most of us prefer carbonated cool drinks, which are not good for health, especially for kids this is not at all safe. When we go out kids also insist us to buy 'gola' (made with ice & colors). These all have zero food value. Today I am sharing a healthy and tasty summer cooler to beat the heat of summer. This summer cooler has goodness of milk and fruit which is healthy for kids as well as adults.

Chikoo Milkshake

Ingredients

Chikoo - 2 nos, peel the skin and deseed it
Sugar - 5-6 spoon
Boiled & cooled Milk - 1/2 litre
Crushed Ice

Procedure

Take the chikoos and make a smooth paste in mixer. Now put the paste equally in glasses. Add sugar and milk in each glass. Then stir well to mix it. Add crushed ice on top. If your milk is cold you can avoid adding ice. Instead of sugar you can add honey to make it more healthy.
