Aloo Chokha / Bihari Style Aloo Chokha

Whenever we have a heavy dinner previous night, I always try to prepare a light meal for next day lunch. I believe all of you also follow the same strategy. Dal and rice perfectly fit in this strategy! I believe dal-rice is a comfort food for most of the Indians irrespective of their zone or state. When I was in hostel, I used miss this soul food badly. Hence, I understand the significance and comfort of home cooked simple dal-rice. Along with dal-rice we also prepare a simple side dish, Aloo Chokha. Though Aloo Chokha is originally from Bihar however, we (Bengal & Bihar) are neighbours, so we adapt each others food habit too.

Do you like dal-rice too?? If not, what is your favourite comfort food??
